I've never met a Mexican restaurant that I didn't like until today. Both of our orders were wrong. The food was terrible. The waiter couldn't understand English. Service was slow. Overpriced. $16 for a lunch special (steak Chimichanga). We asked for to go boxes and our bill, and he brought us napkins. Only reason why we asked for to go boxes was to bring the steak home for our dog because it was to tuff to chew. The sampler was missing jalapeño poppers and the chicken chunks were over cooked. HORRIBLE. Worst review that I have ever given.

We were visiting from NY over the weekend and noticed this restaurant as we were driving around exploring. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were blown away by this place! Service was quick - we were greeted by our server within moments of being seated. He welcomed us to the restaurant and took our drink orders. We had the pina colada and watermelon margarita. Both drinks were beautiful and had a refreshingly delicious taste! Prior to our meal, we were given a generous serving of complementary chips with salsa and a bean dip. This was a pleasant surprise and was seriously SO good!! We ordered the enchilada supreme to share and we were glad we did because it was a large and satisfying serving. The dish included 4 different types of enchilada; cheese, bean, beef, and chicken. Absolutely delicious. Overall, this restaurant offered truly authentic Mexican cuisine, a welcoming and friendly environment, and a stunning interior design. We will be sure to visit once we’re back in Florida!

The food was edible but very bland and cold when served. The drinks took about 20 minutes after ordering but we're good. I ordered the tamarindo margarita. Was ok. Food delivery took about 90 minutes. Will not eat here again.

Jalisco is an absolute hidden gem tucked away in a gas station, and it's hands down the best Mexican restaurant I've ever stumbled upon. If you're looking for authentic flavors that will transport your taste buds straight to Mexico, look no further. First of all, let's talk about the tongue tacos. Oh my goodness, they are out of this world! The tenderness and rich, savory flavor of the tongue meat are a testament to the culinary mastery happening in this unassuming gas station eatery. Each bite is an explosion of taste that you won't soon forget. And then there's the California burrito – a true work of art. The combination of perfectly seasoned meat, creamy guacamole, melty cheese, and other mouthwatering ingredients is nothing short of perfection. It's a culinary masterpiece that you'll find yourself craving over and over again. Now, you might be thinking, "A Mexican restaurant in a gas station? Really?" Trust me when I say that the ambiance might be humble, but the food is anything but. There's something charming and authentic about dining in such an unexpected location. It's a testament to the fact that great food can be found in the most unexpected places. But what truly sets Jalisco apart is the dedication of the staff. They pour their heart and soul into every dish, ensuring that each customer leaves with a smile on their face. The friendly service adds to the overall fantastic dining experience. In a world filled with Mexican restaurants, Jalisco stands out as a true hidden treasure. Whether you're a fan of tongue tacos, California burritos, or just good Mexican cuisine in general, this place is a must-visit. Don't let the gas station location fool you; this is as authentic as it gets.

Typically don’t leave a review- but this place was the best Mexican we have had down here in Sarasota!! (We have had a lot… our #1 now) They bring out chips, salsa and a black bean dip, delicious! Margaritas are amazing!! As far as all of our food- it all had great flavor. The kids loved their chicken, so juicy! Thank you to our waiter Ruben for a great experience every time we come

Food was amazing! Atmosphere was cool... Server Gloria seemed to have way too many other things to do, and we frequently had to go in search of her for refills, checks, etc.
